history
Drug Discovery Alliances, headquartered in Bath,
North Carolina, began in 2001. Founded by Dr. Deborah Minor, formerly an executive
with Beilstein. Dr. Minor established her firm to fill a growing need in the outsourcing
industry. That need was the effective partnership building between outsourcing
providers and outsourcing contractors in the United States. Her services have
a provided her clients with not only a substantial, but sustained revenue stream.
Dr. Minor focuses her business model on the building of relationships and not
the building of contracts. It is through this continued emphasis on successful
relationships that she and her staff have been able to provide a large percentage
of repeat business to her customers.
Deborah Minor, Ph.D.: Biography
Deborah
Minor has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for well over a decade marketing
technologies and services to the pharmaceutical industry. Three years ago she
founded Drug Discovery Alliances, Inc., a company focused on establishing partnerships
and alliances to help facilitate drug research and development in the pharmaceutical
industry. Prior to graduate school she was employed by Rhone Poulenc as a
discovery research chemist. From there she went on to obtain her Ph.D. in medicinal
chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. After this she
worked for a Accelyrs, a molecular modeling firm and then MDL (Beilstein). Currently
she represents a series of companies offering chemistry support ranging from early
drug discovery to large scale cGMP manufacturing including polymorph characterization
and cytotoxic manufacturing. The companies include: J-STAR Research, Regis
